Saif Ali Khan’s next to be a psycho-comic drama

Known for making women-centric movies like ‘Mardaani’, ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’, filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar is going slightly off-beat with his upcoming project. Based on the popular play titled, ‘Shimla Coffee House’ directed by veteran film, television and theatre personality Rakesh Bedi, Sarkar has approached Saif Ali Khan for the film . As per sources, the two (Pradeep Sarkar and Rakesh bedi) have met each other to discuss the script, but nothing is known about the outcome yet.

What comes across to be a psycho-comic drama, the story revolves around a small cafe located at the foothills of Shimla, that is managed by a waiter named Satish Kashyap. A popular author often visits the cafe to pen down his series of short stories. It is during one such visit that a fan picks up certain issues with one of his stories, and the entire disagreement and the fight that drags the waiter into the scene, is what forms the crux of the story.
