Saif Ali Khan talks about Aanand L. Rai’s film
For a while now, media is abuzz with reports of Saif Ali Khan being approached for an Aanand L. Rai next film to be helmed by NH 10 director Navdeep Singh. Reportedly, it is a dark love story with a twisted concept which attracted Saif to it.
Though these were all speculations, there was no official confirmation about the same from anyone. However, last night, when we interviewed Saif for his upcoming period drama Rangoon, we managed to ask the Nawab about this one.
Saif confirmed having signed the film to us and revealed, “Yes there is. It is a little early to talk. We haven’t signed it yet. There is a little bit of talk. It is yet to be pen to paper. But in principle it is very much on but it is a little early to talk. But since you have heard of it, so well ya… (laughs).”
Probe him about Chef, his next film which is a remake of Hollywood film with same name, and the actor says, “The film is almost done. I wrapped up the India schedule today. Now we are left with only three days of shoot which will happen in the United States.”
Meanwhile, Saif’s Rangoon is hitting the screens on February 24, 2017. The film is a Casablanca type love story set in the World War II period and it also stars Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut in the lead. The movie is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and Saif plays the role of a Parsi businessman Rusi, who romances Kangana.
