Will the release date for Saif Ali Khan’s Baazaar be changed?

Saif Ali Khan is not going through a great time in his career. He has had consecutive flops and now, the failure of his other films might have caused a ripple effect on his upcoming film Baazaar. “The film was supposed to release last year in December but then the shoot wasn’t complete so the team decided to push it ahead to April 27. At that point, there was no 2.0, but trade is abuzz with news of the sci-fi mega budget film starring Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth picking the same day for a worldwide release. If that happens, Saif and Nikkhil Advani will have no choice but to shift their film again. After all, this clash will be detrimental for their film.” Will Saif budge or will the clash happen? Let’s see!

The actress, who has nearly finished shooting for Bazaar, will be seen in a dolled-up avatar for the first time in this movie.

Radhika Apte, who often picks up the most unconventional roles for herself, seems to be marching ahead full steam. The actress, who has nearly finished shooting for Bazaar, will be seen in a dolled-up avatar for the first time in this movie.

“Bazaar is a very different project for me,” says Radhika. “I’ve never done anything like this before. I have a very glamorous role for the first time.” Set against the tumultuous world of stock trading, the film stars Saif Ali Khan and will mark the debut of Rohan Mehra, the son of late actor Vinod Mehra.

Ask Radhika how it was to work with Saif, and she says, “My equation with him has been great. He’s a great co-star to work with.” About her role, she adds, “I have different shades in this film. You will get to know more once you watch it. I don’t have too many scenes with Chitrangada (Singh); I have more with Saif and Rohan.” Directed by Gauravv K. Chawla, and produced by Nikkhil Advani, Bazaar is reportedly inspired by the 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street.

Saif Ali Khan On Bazaar: It Is Strong, Dramatic And More Real

“Not all commercial films are fluff and sometimes an actor gets an opportunity to explore oneself as an artiste,” says Saif Ali Khan, who will soon feature in Bazaar. The actor says that his upcoming film Bazaar is one such project. The film is directed by Gaurav Chawla and is set in the world of stock markets and trading. “I think commercial cinema can sometimes give you an opportunity to do good acting. Because it is strong and more dramatic. I really enjoyed that experience of making the commercial cinema more believable and play it like it is more real,” Saif Ali Khan said.

Saif Ali Khan will feature as the antagonist (street-smart Gujarati businessman) in Bazaar. Of the film, Saif said: “The intention of Baazaar was to create a human drama against the backdrop of the stock market. My character is like a nasty antagonist. Rohan Mehra (his debut film) is the hero. It is exciting to play strong and powerful roles. I don’t distinguish between roles, it is funny. The idea is even if you play bad, if it is well-written, people don’t think actors are being evil or nasty,” Saif added.

Watch out for Saif Ali Khan in 2018

Posted in Saif Ali Khan with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on January 4, 2018 by saifalikhanonline

This is the Khan most forget when they refer to the ‘Khans of Bollywood’, although he’s been around as leading man for pretty much just as long, which is a feat in itself; besides that he’s taken more risks than his contemporaries, if you may — whether that be a completely English movie (Being Cyrus), producing, acting in the first mainstream zombie flick (Go Goa Gone), upping the ante with a desi James Bond blowout (Agent Vinod), or whacking it out of the park as a Meerathiya gangster (in Omkara). In 2018, Saif will walk in as cop Sartaj Singh, the lead from Vikram Chandra’s underworld noir-novel, Sacred Games, being adapted as a Netflix original series for a global audience. Whether the series itself becomes India’s Narcos of sorts is hard to tell. It’s being directed by Anurag Kashyap, with Vikramaditya Motwane as the show-runner. But we’d keep our eyes out for Saif, also in Kaalakaandi, which is the brilliant Delhi Belly writer Akshat Verma’s directorial debut. Then there’s also Nikhil Advani’s production Bazaar (on the stock market). So, well, rather see Saif, than be sorry? (Okay, sorry, about that lame one).

Said to be loosely inspired from Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Anand, Kal Ho Naa Ho made us laugh and cry, leaving a mark in our memories.

The Nikhil Advani directorial completes 14 years today. We take a walk through the film to list 14 best things about Kal Ho Naa Ho that are as fresh in our minds even today, as they were in 2003 when it released.

1. Preity Zinta’s glasses

Kal Ho Naa Ho was produced by Karan Johar and starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan.

These surely became a rage way back then. The nerdy glasses suited Preity’s dull and boring life well. Soon, we saw teenagers wearing them around, even if they were just meant for a fashion statement!
