Posted in Movies with tags , , on August 8, 2019 by saifalikhanonline

Saif Ali Khan has certainly proven his worth with projects like Sacred Games, but on the film front, he hasn’t done too well lately.

But the actor is now back on track and shooting back-to-back films. In the midst of his hectic schedule, a source reveals that his film Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is one of his most powerful roles. In the film, Saif will be seen in a different light altogether, which will perhaps revive his film career.

The actor was last seen in crime-drama Baazaar, in which he played the role of a financial maven. That role, as well as his role in Sacred Games, is unlike the character Saif will play in Taanaji.

“After Sacred Games, I have been transported to a different era with this film,” he had told a daily.

Apart from filming the second season of Netflix original Sacred Games, Saif will be seen in Jawaani Jaaneman Bhoot Police and Laal Kaptaan.

Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on Malusare Taanaji, the celebrated warrior who is said to have won the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 by scaling an impregnable fort with the help of a Bengal monitor lizard.

Renowned actor Saif Ali Khan, who was last seen in the film ‘Baazaar’, is now gearing up for his next movie, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’. For his new role in this movie, the 48-year-old actor has to lose all the extra kilos and muscles that he gained for a heftier look in another role for his yet-to-release film ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’. To speed up his weight-loss goal, Khan will go on a no carb, no sugar diet for the coming 5 to 6 weeks. He will start shooting for Jawaani Jaaneman around the middle of June. Khan has will be taking to this extreme diet for quick weight-loss as he has very little time left before the shooting for Jawaani Jaaneman starts.

Khan’s new diet will include oatmeal prepped with skimmed milk and fruits for breakfast while his lunch menu will have only a bowl of seasonal salad. For dinner, he will stick to a light fillet steak. While this portion-controlled light meal plan may come with amazing weight-loss benefits, experts in the field of nutrition suggest that cutting out carbohydrate from your diet for a long period of time isn’t a healthy option. These extreme diets can be followed for short term only for quick results. However, eliminating sugar from your diet could be a good option as it will help you reap quite a few health benefits.

No Hollywood for Saif Ali Khan

Posted in Saif Ali Khan with tags , , , , , , , on May 2, 2019 by saifalikhanonline

A while ago, there was a buzz that Saif Ali Khan had been approached to do a Hollywood film in which he would have an important role. This was immediately after the kind of reactions that he was getting in the media as well as on the social media about his performance as Sartaj Singh in Sacred Games, the season two of which will be on the web in a month from now.

“There were talks that he had been approached for the Hollywood film and that they (the studio) wanted him to essay an important part,” says a source. But Saif’s team denies that the actor has signed on the dotted line as yet. “It is not true that he has signed anything,” says Team Saif.

Sources still insist that the said studio is trying hard to convince Saif to do the film with better offers. But Saif seems to have his hands full at the moment and has still not given the green signal. Apart from Sacred Games 2, Saif is working on films like Jawaani Jaaneman, Bhoot Police, Taanaji, among other projects. Not long ago, Saif had himself said that he would not like to uproot himself from Bollywood to work in Hollywood.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has entered the last phase of its shoot as the lead actors Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan have started shooting for the climax sequence. In a week-long shooting schedule of the sequence, the two actors will be fighting with swords.

The climax scene traces the Battle of Sinhagad and has been choreographed by action director Ramazan Bulut, who has previously worked on Hollywood projects Inferno (2015) and Rush (2012). Prior to the shoot, Saif Ali Khan, who plays Udaybhan Rathod, a Rajput officer who served in Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s army, undertook a seven-week training in sword fighting.

A source informs a leading daily that an elaborate set has been erected for the climax scene. The source said, “Both Saif and Ajay have been training for the past couple of weeks. Saif has been personally coached by Bulut, who was flown down from Turkey for these action sequences. While his training was aimed at mastering the use of the longsword, over the past few days, Saif has been practising his moves for the final sword ballet that sees him taking on Ajay’s character, Tanaji Malusare. It was only when Bulut was fully satisfied with his prep that he greenlit the filming of the sequence.”
