Posted in Saif Ali Khan with tags , , , , , , , on May 2, 2019 by saifalikhanonline

A while ago, there was a buzz that Saif Ali Khan had been approached to do a Hollywood film in which he would have an important role. This was immediately after the kind of reactions that he was getting in the media as well as on the social media about his performance as Sartaj Singh in Sacred Games, the season two of which will be on the web in a month from now.

“There were talks that he had been approached for the Hollywood film and that they (the studio) wanted him to essay an important part,” says a source. But Saif’s team denies that the actor has signed on the dotted line as yet. “It is not true that he has signed anything,” says Team Saif.

Sources still insist that the said studio is trying hard to convince Saif to do the film with better offers. But Saif seems to have his hands full at the moment and has still not given the green signal. Apart from Sacred Games 2, Saif is working on films like Jawaani Jaaneman, Bhoot Police, Taanaji, among other projects. Not long ago, Saif had himself said that he would not like to uproot himself from Bollywood to work in Hollywood.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior has entered the last phase of its shoot as the lead actors Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan have started shooting for the climax sequence. In a week-long shooting schedule of the sequence, the two actors will be fighting with swords.

The climax scene traces the Battle of Sinhagad and has been choreographed by action director Ramazan Bulut, who has previously worked on Hollywood projects Inferno (2015) and Rush (2012). Prior to the shoot, Saif Ali Khan, who plays Udaybhan Rathod, a Rajput officer who served in Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s army, undertook a seven-week training in sword fighting.

A source informs a leading daily that an elaborate set has been erected for the climax scene. The source said, “Both Saif and Ajay have been training for the past couple of weeks. Saif has been personally coached by Bulut, who was flown down from Turkey for these action sequences. While his training was aimed at mastering the use of the longsword, over the past few days, Saif has been practising his moves for the final sword ballet that sees him taking on Ajay’s character, Tanaji Malusare. It was only when Bulut was fully satisfied with his prep that he greenlit the filming of the sequence.”
