Saif Ali Khan posing with a pencil sketch of son Taimur Ali Khan is the best thing you will see today.
We have just seen very small glimpses of baby Taimur up until now. New parents Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been very particular about keeping their newborn away from their paparazzi’s eyes.
But what if a fan took the pain to sketch a portrait of Taimur and gift it to his parents, Saif and Kareena?
A few hours ago, Saif’s sister Soha Ali Khan took to Instagram to share a picture of Saif Ali Khan holding a striking sketch of little Taimur. The new papa looked rather happy with this work of striking finesse.
Saif is reportedly on a paternity leave right now, spending as much time as he can with his wife Kareena and his son Taimur.
However, Saif has an exciting year ahead in terms of work. The actor will be seen in three films in 2017; Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, Chef directed by Raja Krishna Menon and Kaalagandi, directed by Delhi Belly writer Akshat Verma.
While Saif Ali Khan’s newest born is making headlines with his history-inspired name, the actor’s older son is quietly making his presence count on a different pitch. Ibrahim Ali Khan got on the field on his grandfather Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s birthday at the Tiger Memorial Cricket Match held in Modern School, Barakhamba Road. While Saif and Kareena were unable to make it to the match this year after the birth of Taimur, aunt Soha, her husband Kunal Kemmu and grandmom Sharmila Tagore turned up to cheer for the 15-year-old.
The match was between Oxbridge XI and Public Schools XI. Soha said, “We hope to have enough players to have a Pataudi XI instead of Oxbridge XI next year. It’s a memorial match we plan to host every year on Abba’s birthday (January 5). This year would have been his 76th birthday. We celebrate his birthday with a cricket match not only because he devoted so much of his life to the sport, but because his life reflected the lessons cricket teaches you – teamwork, sportsmanship and most of all, that no matter what obstacles and challenges life throws at you, you must bounce back like a cricket ball. This match was special because Ibrahim played.”
Taimur Ali Khan, the baby of Kareena and Saif Ali Khan. Soha is delighted about the new addition to their family. “It has been an exciting week for all of us. Every day has been about Taimur.” The Twitter storm about the baby’s name makes her concerned about our society. “It’s the parents’ right and freedom to name their child. It’s better not to take social media seriously; it just churns out a lot of manufactured opinion.”
