Posted in Movies with tags Deepika Padukone, Imtiaz Ali, Kartik Aaryan, Love Aaj Kal, Saif, Saif Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan on February 6, 2020 by saifalikhanonlineImtiaz Ali who is gearing up for the release of his film Love Aaj Kal says that Saif Ali Khan’s confessions that he liked the trailer of the original film better starring himself and Deepika Padukone do not surprise him at all. While Sara has been asked to comment on what she thinks about the same, in a recent interview, Imtiaz opened up about his feeling about Saif’s remarks and said that he would have been upset if Saif had said otherwise.
“Of course, he would. Saif was emotionally invested in that film. I would be upset if heâd said he liked this trailer better. Saif was also the producer of that film while I was the director. But it was usually the reverse, with me telling him not to come late, for example. We had an easy equation, and even in a difficult situation, both of us had a connection because we were shameless enough to not let it really bother us,” Imtiaz said speaking about their bond.
Recently, Saif had also come out and cleared the air about his comment saying that a little bit teasing is good. “With my daughter, I tried to crack a mildly competitive joke. Iâm saying I kind of liked our more but obviously this is a completely different movie. And I donât think itâs perhaps right to compare but, of course, the producers have chosen the same name and I am quite possessive over our film. I donât want to come across the wrong way because of course what I said was a joke. A little bit of teasing is good,” Saif said.
While the original Love Aaj Kal released in 2009, the new Love Aaj Kal will hit the theatres on February 14, 2020, starring Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, and Arushi Sharma.

Saif, in a recent interview, had also humouredly commented on how he too preferred the trailer of his film than that of Sara’s.
Sara said that they were not looking to recreate the original film and that she agreed to be a part of the film because of Imtiaz Ali. “I wasnât looking at replicating the original film. I said yes to the film without reading the script. I had asked Imtiaz sir why we werenât calling it Love Aaj Kal 2; he explained that the concept is relevant and timeless. The idea is that love means different things for different generations,” she said.

Saif Ali Khan on Love Aaj Kal and if daughter Sara Ali Khan is taking franchise forward: âItâs not my legacy at allâ
Posted in Movies with tags Deepika Padukone, Imtiaz Ali, Love Aaj Kal, Saif, Saif Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan on August 1, 2019 by saifalikhanonlineThe film Love Aaj Kal, which released on this day 10 years ago, was a respite from run-of-the-mill romantic films. Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone played two commitment-phobic young and successful professionals who keep changing their relationship status and only begin to understand the relevance of marriage and stability after their break-up.
What also made it unique was the fact that the story ran parallel to actor Rishi Kapoor (his younger self also played by Saif) and his on screen (and off screen) wife Neetu Singhâs (younger self played by actor Giselli Monteiro) love story set in the earlier times.
