Vikram Vedha star Saif Ali Khan opens up on the bond he shares with Amitabh Bachchan; says, “I could write reams about him”

Saif Ali Khan has worked with Mr Bachchan only once. That was Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya in 2007. But the bonding between the two families goes beyond the professional. Speaking exclusively on his impressions on the actor, who defines screen magic for over 50 years Saif says, “For me, Mr Bachchan stands head and shoulders above every other actor .The comedy item scenes, the stylised punch, the bloodshot eyes and black grimy makeup and that 1000-watt smile … He would bring so much conviction and belief to every screen situation.”

Of course, the Big B’s baritone figures high on Saif’s list of Bachchan-bests. “The unparalleled dialogue delivery and clarity of diction is a masterclass class to just listen to, whether he is reading his father’s wonderful poetry or speaking to us on KBC.”

Saif recalls the first time he met Mr Bachchan. “My first impression was of this impossibly commanding presence standing tall at a film party with his arm in a sling. He explained, ‘I broke it while kicking down a door in an action sequence.’ And then he smiled and I thought it was one of the warmest and kindest and most infectious smile I had ever seen, on par with my mother’s smile!”

The latest we hear is that Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji are the next guests in the show for Shaandaar Shukravaar. Saif and Rani will be sitting on the hotseat and expected to have a gala time together. This particular episode will go on air next Friday.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is set to release worldwide on November 19, 2021. The rib-tickling comedy will pit the two sets of con-stars, from different generations, against each other as they show their mastery over disguises to outwit each other!

Low-profile and hardworking, he first shot into prominence when  he earned the Maharashtra State Award for the 2015-film Katyar Kaljat Ghusali. Then, he further upped his game when he won an award for best costume designer for the 2018-Marathi film, Ani Dr Kashinath Ghanekar.

Currently in the throes of designing costumes for the Prabhas–Saif blockbuster Adipurush, Nachiket is snowed under with work. So, when he does find time, he says, he prefers to dedicate those moments to his eleven-month-old daughter Aarohi and wife Surabhi. “I’m not a party person. I wake up early and spend my mornings with my daughter. I return late at night, so she is asleep by then. I really believe it is more important to spend quality time with your
kid. My wife is currently on a maternity break and will join me soon,” states Nachiket.

As per the source, Nawab actor Saif Ali Khan, to be rope in Bunty and Bubli sequel and makers has approached him for a pivotal role but it is still not confirmed that whether he will work in the film as his tight schedule is clashing between the Bunty Aur Babli dates.

Talking about the story plot, the writer has written the story in two pairs and maybe Amitabh Bachchan will recreate his magic as a swagger policeman. The makers of the film currently looking for more names for the role and it is still not confirmed that which actress will be going to replace Rani Mukerji.

On the professional front, Saif has many films on his career plate and recently, he wrapped up for Jawaani Jaaneman film and not just that actor has signed some more films, like Laal Kaptaan, Dil Bechara, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, Jawaani Jaaneman, Bhoot Police. However, if Saif signs Bunty and Bubli 2 then, definitely be going to bring a new factor in the film and the audience will get to watch something new.
