Jacqueline Fernandez opens up about her bond with Saif Ali Khan, reveals they are not just co-stars but friends

After the five-day mandatory quarantine period, the film rolled on November 5, and on the first day of the shoot, Jacky made a new friend. “Whoever knows me well, knows that I love horses and even during the lockdown, I went riding every day. Now that I have resumed work, I thought it wouldn’t be possible for me to do it as frequently, but there are lots of animals wandering around here, including this beautiful mare that was grazing close to our set,” the actress informed Mirror delightedly.

On October 30, Jacqueline Fernandez flew off to the hills of Himachal Pradesh, along with co-stars, , and , to kick off a spooky adventure comedy, Bhoot Police.

The hills are picturesque and winter is in the air. To add to the fun, there’s a hint of the paranormal. “Saif and I have worked together earlier in Race 2; we are not just co-stars but friends. And even Arjun and Yami, with whom I am collaborating for the first time, are super fun,” she exults.

While she can’t reveal much about her character as it’s early days, she promises that it is very different from what we have seen her do before. “She’s super sexy and glam,” Jacky reveals.

The actress will be in Himachal for almost a month, then, return to the city for ’s Cirkus which pairs her with Ranveer Singh. The comic caper is an adaptation of ’s The Comedy of Errors, and features Ranveer and Varun Sharma in double roles, and and Jacqueline as the leading ladies.

Will Saif Ali Khan romance Deepika Padukone in ‘Race 3’?

Saif Ali Khan has been the face of the “Race” franchise and it’s only obvious that he came with its third instalment. Sources say there has been no confirmation of his return yet and that the makers will sit with him and have an extensive discussion when the final draft is ready.

“Race 3” is in its “scripting stage” and the team is looking at ideas, which will truly surprise the audience. “Action, romance and thrills are integral to the franchise, so obviously they won’t be drifting away from that. But they want to surprise the audience with some great content. So they want to give the script as much time it requires, to get it spot on,” an insider said.

Tips to discuss final draft of Race 3 with Saif Ali Khan

The Race film franchise is one of the most successful franchises in Bollywood. Both Race and Race 2 raked in good numbers at the box office and their music topped the charts as well. Now the buzz is that TIPS, who are the producers of the franchise, have come up with a new idea, which they want to take forward in Race 3.

According to insiders, the scripting process has already begun. A source says, “Race 3 is in the scripting stage now and the team is working on a few ideas. Meanwhile director duo Abbas-Mastan who made the first two films are lying low. As for the star cast, Saif has been the central character in all the films and the makers are keen to have him on board again. A senior member from TIPS told us, “The idea has been shared with Saif and we will sit with him when the final draft is ready.”
