Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor, is set to be premiered on television soon. The audience appreciated the film when it was released because it had a tinge of fear blended with dollops of laughter. On January 23 at 8 pm, Bhoot Police will have its world television premiere on Star Gold.

In this film, Saif Ali Khan has played an interesting character who does not believe in ghosts. “I am very excited that Bhoot Police will have its world television premiere on Star Gold,” Saif said.

“Arjun and I have a special relationship behind the camera too, he is my family friend and we have known each other for a long time,” the Nawab of Bollywood said. “In front of the camera, we don’t take each other lightly and give it our all.”

“It is not a genre that I was seeking for script-wise,” said Arjun Kapoor, who is working in a horror-comic film for the first time. “The association between the two brothers struck me the most when I heard and read the script. The story of their estrangement, brotherhood, love, hatred, and courage was compelling to me. The character that I am playing in this movie owes to the vision of the director.”

Yami was spotted conversing in Himachali with the villagers during the shooting. In various scenes of the film, Yami is also seen speaking this language. Whether it’s Punjabi, South, Bengali, or English, Yami has mastered the art of presenting each language in her unique flair. “As a language lover, I am always keen to learn new languages for my characters,” Yami said. “I was born in Himachal and raised in Chandigarh, but I visit Himachal frequently because my relatives live there and own a little property. Thankfully, during the filming of Bhoot Police, I was able to reconnect with Himachal.”

Actor Saif Ali Khan says that the going pandemic has been extremely challenging for actors and others working in the entertainment sector.

“Nobody wants to shoot wearing a mask with 150 people in the room, but sometimes you have to,” notes Khan, who himself has shot films amid the pandemic.

“I shot Bhoot Police but makers were kind enough to charter planes for us and flew us to Himachal Pradesh. That was quite lovely and comfortable. It was nice to get out of the city,” he says, adding, “Now, Adipursh has started and stopped and started and stopped with the lockdowns. But somehow we have managed to finish it.”

The actor, who recently started filming his movie Vikram Vedha with Hrithik Roshan, has several projects up his sleeve — from Adipurush and Vikram Vedha to the Rahul-Dholakia film, Fire. While he’s had his share of fun and controversies over the past few years, he’s certainly enjoying the accolades as they come even as he remains modest.

“Cinema is so much about teamwork. It’s about everyone from the costume designer to the guy doing the background music — the director and the editing — the scriptwriter who writes great lines that contribute to how an actor is perceived,” explains Saif, who was seen earlier this year in Tandav, Bhoot Police and Bunty Aur Babli 2. “As actors, we’re supported by many people around us. We cannot pull it off if we don’t have a great setup and a good director who envisages the scene with over a 100 people.”

The characters keep rolling

The actor admits that after playing the funny guy and fool earlier, he’s enjoying multiple kinds of roles from comedy to dark films and negative roles as well.

We all love us a superstar! But a superstar who can crack us up? We love them a little extra, don’t we? And we all know there’s such a thing as Saif-level funny! Vibhooti from Bhoot Police: Essaying the role of a ludicrous ghostbuster, Saif Ali Khan had us at, “GST, uncle?” Nobody could have pulled off Vibhooti better than Saif!

Rakesh from Bunty Aur Babli 2: As Rakesh in Bunty Aur Babli 2, Saif Ali Khan has laid on the humour thick and has some hilarious punches awaiting us

Rohan from Kal Ho Na Ho: Who else could have pulled off, “Mmmmmere paas do doggie hain?” so effortlessly and had us ROFLing all over the place?

Jai from Love Aaj Kal: Jai was a modern-day man who was open-minded, smooth and hilarity personified.

Gautam from Cocktail: A playboy to boot, Gautam was yet another one of Saif’s characters that showcased his sheer brilliant comic timing.

India’s Saif Ali Khan Talks ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2,’ Vanity and Censorship

Saif Ali Khan is a Bollywood A-lister known for heroic roles, but that hasn’t stopped him from playing against type in recent years.

The star of Emmy-nominated Netflix series “Sacred Games” is constantly in motion, with a raft of varying roles coming up, starting with this week’s release of “Bunty Aur Babli 2.”

Directed by feature debutant Varun V. Sharma, the Yash Raj Films production is a reboot of 2005 smash hit “Bunty Aur Babli,” which followed a pair of con artists known by the nicknames Bunty and Babli. In the present day, Bunty and Babli are forced out of retirement after a spate of robberies with their trademark style start appearing across India. Khan stars alongside Rani Mukerji.

“It’s taking the story forward 20 years later, where the guy’s got a paunch [and] the party’s over. He’s happily married, but he needs whiskey, and is a bit bored,” Khan tells Variety.

Khan is, literally, royalty. He is the current Nawab of the erstwhile Indian princely state of Pataudi. His grandfather, Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, played cricket for England and was later captain of the Indian cricket team, while his father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, also captained the Indian cricket team. Khan is also Indian cinema royalty via his actor mother Sharmila Tagore who debuted in Oscar winner Satyajit Ray’s “The World of Apu” and went on to a hugely successful career straddling both Bollywood and independent cinema.
