Saif Ali Khan, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has had a remarkable journey in the film industry, especially during the 90s. His acting debut in 1993 with the action drama, Parampara, marked the beginning of a successful career. Over the years, Saif has earned numerous accolades, including a National Film Award and seven Filmfare Awards. In recognition of his contributions, he was honoured with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award, in 2010. However, Saif’s film career as an actor has witnessed its share of ups and downs.

Remarkably, Saif Ali Khan still holds a unique record that eludes many talented Bollywood actors to this day. He ranks seventh on Box Office India’s ‘Hit Count Actor All Time’ list, a testament to his enduring appeal. His record includes 12 points, comprising two blockbusters, one superhit, and nine hit films, reflecting his consistent ability to captivate audiences with his on-screen presence.

Even in the present day, Saif remains active on both the silver screen and OTT platforms, showcasing his versatility as an actor. His recent appearance in the action-adventure drama Adipurush attests to his enduring popularity.

“I am close to Saif Ali Khan” : Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film Sanju. The film is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt and has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Sanju is slated to release on June 29, 2018.

While promoting the film on Ishq FM, when asked by Sidharth Kannan about his nephew Taimur Ali Khan, Ranbir said that he loves stalking his photos like everyone else. He also said in jest that he is insecure of Taimur Ali Khan’s popularity and people now recognize him as Taimur Ali Khan’s uncle.

He also said that Taimur deserves all the attention as he is a really cute kid. Ranbir said that he also like everyone else feels happy looking at Taimur’s photos.

Ranbir also said that he does not like so much attention on Taimur as it’s not healthy for him as a child. Ranbir and cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan appeared together on Karan Johar’s show Koffee with Karan. Karan had called them the Information and Broadcasting Ministry of Bollywood.

On the radio show, when asked by the host if Ranbir and Kareena gossip together, Ranbir said, “Zyadatar Kareena aur main baat nahi karte (Kareena and I hardly talk). We meet very rarely. I am very close to Saif, my brother-in-law. Our sensibilities are very similar- Saif and mine. I really enjoy meeting him, talking to him.”

He added in jest that all these are excuses, he visits them to meet his nephew Taimur.

Saif Ali Khan Keen on Making His Dad’s Biopic, Not Acting in It

Saif Ali Khan is keen to produce a biopic on his father, the legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan (the Nawab of) Pataudi. However, he will start the project only if he finds an actor perfect for the role. The actor admitted that there is not enough footage of his father, so getting into character will take a lot (despite mom Sharmila Tagore’s contribution?).

As most of his father’s feats and glories happened when he was young, Khan also feels that a younger actor is needed and that too with a flair for his father’s class and elegance.

“I am keen to produce the film,” he said. “But we have to find the right guy. I don’t think I am sexy enough. He was stylish and played the game with his own style. He carried the right attitude. I can’t copy him.”

Khan added, “Although I’d love to play him, I think we need a young actor.” Interestingly, mom, Tagore had suggested that Ranbir Kapoor would be a perfect fit for the role of Pataudi, and Saif too had agreed. Now, we would really like to know if Soha Ali Khan is game to play her mother whenever this biopic is made.

Here’s why Saif Ali Khan wouldn’t star in a biopic on his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi

Biopics are the latest flavour in Bollywood. From sports personalities to actors, legends are getting a full-fledged feature film being made on their lives and struggles. Late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi aka Tiger Pataudi was one such person who was not just another iconic sportsperson but also his personality and aura made him a legend.

When his son and actor Saif Ali Khan was asked about a biopic on his dad by a leading tabloid, he replied, “I am keen to produce the film. But we have to find the right guy who can play my father. There is not much footage available. So whoever plans to make it, will have to do a lot of research.”

Saif Ali Khan’s Chef release on the same day as several other movies

Posted in Movies with tags , , , , , , on April 13, 2017 by saifalikhanonline

Bollywood has seen some of the biggest clashes in the last few months and now, gearing up for a few more. While three films go head to head this May, July has even better in store for fans.

It’s a 4 way clash this July 14. Don’t believe us? As many as 4 films are heading for a face-off at the box office.

Which films? Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s Jagga Jasoos. Saif Ali Khan’s Chef. Sridevi’s Mom. And Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena. While there are two big women centric films clashing, there is Ranbir going head-on with brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan! Guess for Ranbir and Saif, even clashes start from the family.

This might prove detrimental to a film like Jagga Jasoos, especially because it is made on a really high budget.
